Vince Tobin, born on September 29, 1943, is a former American football player and coach who gained recognition in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Notre Dame before being selected by the Chicago Bears in the 1966 NFL Draft. Although he had a shorter playing career primarily as a defensive back, Tobin's influence and contributions to the league were most prominently realized through his coaching positions.
Tobin began his coaching career in the NFL in the late 1970s, eventually serving as the defensive coordinator for the Phoenix Cardinals from 1993 to 1995.
