Wade Belak was a Canadian professional ice hockey player born on July 3, 1976, in Calgary, Alberta. Known primarily as an enforcer, he was selected in the first round, 12th overall, by the New York Islanders in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. Over his 15-season career, Belak played for several NHL teams, including the Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, and the Nashville Predators, amassing a total of 1,115 regular-season NHL games.
