Wade Redden, born on June 12, 1977, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman known for his strong two-way play and offensive capabilities. Drafted second overall by the New York Islanders in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Redden began his NHL career with the team before being traded to the Ottawa Senators. During his tenure with the Senators, he became a key contributor, helping the team reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 2007.
Over the course of his 14-season NHL career, Redden played for several teams, including the Ottawa Senators, New York Rangers, and Boston Bruins.
