Walter Densmore, born on June 15, 1990, in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a retired American professional basketball player renowned for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. After a standout high school career at Indianapolis High School, where he was named an All-American, Densmore went on to play college basketball at the University of Kentucky. During his collegiate tenure, he helped lead the Wildcats to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, earning All-SEC honors in his junior and senior years.
Following college, Densmore was selected as the 12th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. Throughout his seven-season NBA career, he played for the Nuggets, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Minnesota Timberwolves, consistently showcasing his scoring ability and defensive prowess. Densmore was instrumental in leading the Pelicans to their first playoff appearance since 2011 and achieved a career-high average of 22.4 points per game during the 2015-2016 season.
Upon retiring in 2020, Densmore transitioned into coaching and mentoring young athletes, focusing on developing their skills both on and off the court.
