Watra Banks, born on October 19, 1979, is a retired American professional basketball player known for her significant contributions to the sport during the late 1990s and early 2000s. A standout player at her collegiate level, she played for the University of Tennessee, where she led the team to an NCAA championship in 1997. Banks was recognized for her exceptional skill set, earning All-American honors that propelled her into a successful professional career.
Following her college success, Banks was selected in the first round of the WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty in 2001.
