Wayne Millner was an American professional football player, born on January 31, 1913, in Chicago, Illinois. He played as a wide receiver and end in the National Football League (NFL) primarily for the Boston Braves, later known as the Washington Redskins. Millner was known for his exceptional speed and hands, and he became a key contributor to his teams during the 1930s.
Millner's career spanned from 1936 to 1942, during which he achieved significant milestones, including being selected to the Pro Bowl in 1939. He played a pivotal role in leading the Redskins to their first NFL Championship game appearance in 1940, where they faced the Chicago Bears. Millner's ability to make critical catches in high-pressure situations solidified his reputation as one of the leading receivers of his era.
