Wendell Ladner, born on October 6, 1948, in Rosedale, Mississippi, was a professional basketball player notable for his athleticism and competitive spirit. Ladner was selected as the 86th overall pick in the 1970 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks.

Ladner played the majority of his professional career with the New Orleans Jazz, appearing in 238 games from 1974 to 1976. Known for his hustle and determination, he averaged 10.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game during his tenure with the team.
