Biography
Wes Roberts, born on August 1, 1957, is a former American football player who gained recognition for his role as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Georgia, where his impressive performance earned him a spot on several All-SEC teams. Following his collegiate success, Roberts was selected in the 1980 NFL Draft.
Roberts began his professional career with the New Orleans Saints, where he played from 1980 to 1984. Over the course of his five-season tenure with the Saints, he was known for his strong blocking skills and durability on the offensive line. Roberts later signed with the San Diego Chargers, continuing to make an impact in the league during the latter part of his career.
After retiring from professional football, Roberts transitioned into coaching and mentoring young athletes, sharing his extensive knowledge of the game.
