William Kay (born May 4, 1893) was an English cricketer who played as a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. His career spanned from 1914 to 1928, predominately representing Lancashire County Cricket Club. Kay made notable contributions to the team during a time when cricket was experiencing the disruptions of World War I.
Throughout his career, Kay participated in a total of 450 first-class matches, amassing over 14,000 runs at an average of 32.00. He achieved 25 centuries and 62 half-centuries, with a highest score of 201 not out, showcasing his capability as a prominent batsman of his era. In addition to his batting prowess, he also claimed more than 300 wickets, consolidating his role as a versatile cricketer.
