Quaife is particularly noted for his remarkable performances during the 1906 season, when he scored over 1,300 runs at an average exceeding 45.
Throughout his career, Quaife achieved several milestones, including scoring more than 10,000 runs in first-class cricket, making him one of the leading run-scorers of his era.
