Zac Bierk is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender, born on September 17, 1976, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 4th round, 90th overall, of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Bierk's professional career spanned from 1999 to 2005, during which he played in the National Hockey League (NHL) and various minor leagues.
Bierk made his NHL debut with the Tampa Bay Lightning during the 2000-2001 season. He also played for the Phoenix Coyotes, showcasing his talents in both starting and backup roles. Notably, Bierk was instrumental in the 2004-2005 season for the Cleveland Barons in the American Hockey League (AHL), earning a reputation as a reliable goaltender with significant potential.
