Zdeněk Blatný, born on January 14, 1981, in the Czech Republic, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his skills as a forward. Blatný began his career in the late 1990s, playing in the Czech Extraliga, where he made a name for himself with HC Vsetín. In 2000, Blatný made the transition to North American hockey, signing with the Detroit Red Wings organization.
