Zulfiqar Ahmed, born on November 22, 1926, in Punjab, Pakistan, was a distinguished cricketer known for his exceptional all-round capabilities. His career in first-class cricket spanned from 1946 to 1962, during which he represented various teams, notably the Punjab and the national side of Pakistan. Recognized for his left-arm orthodox spin bowling and adept batting skills, Ahmed became a key figure in the formative years of Pakistan cricket.
Making his Test debut in 1952 against India, Zulfiqar Ahmed played a total of 19 Test matches for Pakistan, taking 75 wickets and scoring 1,005 runs. His performance in the inaugural Test series against India was particularly noteworthy, where he showcased his prowess as a bowler and a batsman.
