Biography
Craig Janney, born on September 26, 1967, in Quincy, Massachusetts, is a former professional ice hockey player from the United States. A standout center, Janney played junior hockey with the Worcester IceCats before being selected 13th overall in the first round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues. He went on to establish a successful career in the NHL, playing for several teams, including the Blues, Boston Bruins, and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Throughout his 12-season NHL career, Janney became known for his exceptional passing ability and offensive skills. He recorded over 600 points, culminating in notable seasons where he scored more than 70 points multiple times. Janney's peak years included a prominent role with the Bruins, where he contributed significantly to the team’s success in the early 1990s.
Janney represented the United States internationally, participating in events such as the World Junior Championships and the World Cup of Hockey.
