Danny Gare, born on May 14, 1954, in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Quebec, is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada. Recognized for his scoring ability and tenacity on the ice, he played as a right winger in the National Hockey League (NHL) primarily during the 1970s and 1980s. Gare was selected 4th overall in the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft by the Buffalo Sabres, where he would make a significant impact throughout his career.
During his time with the Sabres, Gare achieved notable success, including becoming a two-time NHL All-Star and finishing as the league's second-leading goal scorer in the 1979-80 season with 50 goals. He played a vital role in the Sabres' playoff runs, particularly in 1980, contributing to their deep postseason success.
